UK ISP TalkTalk Business recently began offering a new promotion on their Openreach based “Business Full Fibre” (FTTP) broadband products for small and medium sized businesses, which on top of the existing monthly discount also gives new customers the first 3 months of service for free.
Prices start from £29.95 +vat per month for their 100Mbps (20Mbps upload) package and rise to £59.95 per month for their 900Mbps (115Mbps upload) full fibre solution. Each package includes unlimited usage, their Wi-Fi Hub wireless router, a 24-month contract term, static IP address (1 IP is free but you can pay an extra £5 for a block of four addresses) and free installation.
After the minimum contract term is up (i.e. discounts end), prices will increase by £5 per month for Business Full Fibre 100, 200 and 300, and £10 per month for Business Full Fibre 500 and 900 (e.g. the £29.95 entry-level 100Mbps package will become £34.95). In order to get the new deal you must place your order before the end of January (existing offers on their alternative “ultrafast fibre” G.fast plans will run until the end of February).
Are TalkTalk still in denial mode with regards to IPv6?
What is IPv6?
– Vodafone
Even Virgin Media don’t have IPv6 when I left in September last year. Gone with Sky and they have IPv6 although personally I don’t know if many people use it get as its bot widely available.
Note this offer has been going for a month or more, and IIRC only applies to certain elements of the service.
This is good news for the very limited number of places TT seem to offer fttp via openreach in.
