Mobile operator and UK ISP Vodafone has today decided to reintroduce their offer of 6 months free business fixed line “superfast broadband” (FTTC) and phone in order to give an extra boost to small businesses as COVID-19 lockdown restrictions are gradually relaxed. The promotion ends on 30th April 2021.
The special package, which is open to all small business owners in the UK with 1-50 employees (including those already on a Vodafone contract), appears to only be available via their Fibre-to-the-Cabinet (FTTC) based “superfast” 35Mbps and 63Mbps (average download speed) plans – these normally cost £19.17 +vat and £22.50 +vat respectively per month (including line rental, unlimited usage, 24-month term, router, no upfront fees and a static IP address).
Anne Sheehan, Business Director at Vodafone UK, said: “While we have a clear roadmap out of lockdown, small businesses are still facing significant challenges. There is still huge uncertainty and money is incredibly tight for many business owners. That’s why I’m pleased to be able to relaunch this offer of six months’ free broadband. I hope that with one less bill to worry about, small businesses can focus on more pressing issues.”
Any idea when Vodafone will start to sell FTTP to businesses? Currently they only provide FTTC to businesses but offer FTTC and FTTP to residential customers!
