Mobile operator Vodafone UK has today launched a new range of “flexible mobile plans” for small and medium sized businesses (10 – 150 employees) called ‘Business Evolve’, which gives firms more choice over data and calling allowances, as well as devices (handsets etc.), lines and contract terms etc.
The operator has also added a Data+ feature, which they say will ensure businesses “never need to worry about running out of data in the UK or Europe” (i.e. if the mobile broadband allowance is exceeded, you can remain online but only with data speeds up to 2Mbps).
All the plans work on 4G and are also classed as being 5G-ready, provided you’re in a 5G capable area on the same network.
Summary of Business Evolve Plans (+vat)
Business Voice – unlimited calls and texts for only £10 per month
Business Starter – unlimited calls and texts, MMS and a choice of 2GB, 6GB, 12GB or 25GB of data, starting at just £15 per month
Business Pro – unlimited data, calls and texts for only £25 per month
Business Data – With data that can then be pooled across your team, additional data is always readily available should you require, starting at £17.50 per month
Business Evolve Features
➤ Choose how you use data – select from individual data bundles or share a data pool across your business.
➤ Choose how you buy devices – spread the cost of your devices over the term of the contract or set up a tech fund to dip into whenever a new device is needed.
➤ Add new lines when needed – ensure you can grow as your business grows.
➤ Add or take away extra data bundles – be flexible as your situation changes.
➤ Choose from 12-month, 24-month and 36-month options – choose the payment plan that fits your needs.
➤ Choose inclusive international minutes – essential for keeping in touch with your customers and suppliers while travel remains so limited.
The ‘always on’ Data+ at 2Mbps is a great idea. I know Giffgaff have pioneered it, with their always on plan (except the ‘over limit’ speed with them is capped at 0.384Mbps); but to my mind it’s a much better solution than either eyewatering overage fees or cutting data off until an add-on is purchased.
Yep and it will still mostly be faster than Three!
