Infrastructure firm M Group Services, which serves the United Kingdom and Ireland via its various broadband and mobile focused civil engineering brands (e.g. Avonline Networks, magdalene, Morrison etc.), has today announced that they’ve gobbled up Waldon Telecom, a wireless telecom infrastructure service provider.
Waldon Telecom works across the wider mobile telecom market and provides Acquisition, Design, and Construction (ADC) services to most of the major mobile operators via their various network sharing wings (MobileBroadband Network Limited, Cornerstone (CTIL), and Three UK).
M Group Services hopes that the acquisition, which is the company’s 13th since December 2016, will help to enhance their mobile offering for network operators and capitalise on the ongoing rollout of ultrafast 5G technologies.
Jim Arnold, CEO of M Group Services, said:
“We are delighted to expand our Telecom Division with the acquisition of Waldon Telecom, a business with considerable growth potential and a strong reputation. Our strategy is to combine Waldon Telecoms ADC skills with Magdalene’s mobile technology services and provide mobile clients with end-to-end solutions.”
Under the deal, Waldon Telecom will continue to operate as a standalone brand under the leadership of Managing Director and co-founder, Phil James, working closely with Mark Turner, Managing Director of Magdalene.
