Energy provider and UK ISP Shell Energy has followed last week’s controversial pricing changes (here) by discounting their 67Mbps (19Mbps upload) “Superfast Fibre Plus” FTTC broadband and phone bundle to just £21.99 per month for the first 18 months of service (£35.99 thereafter).
The price, which is only available to new customers, will be on offer from now until 31st October 2021. Otherwise, Shell’s Openreach based broadband packages all include a wireless router, 18-month minimum contract term, free activation, UK based support, unlimited usage and copper line rental with standard call rates (PAYG). But if you need a new line installed, then that will attract a one-off fee of £60.
Do Shell Energy Broadband have their own core network / ASN, or are they literally just resellers?
They are resellers
They use TalkTalk Wholesale.
Which router do they use? I couldn’t find any information on their website.
