The UK telecoms and media regulator, Ofcom, has today proposed a new annual work plan for the 2022-23 period. The generalised summary covers everything from improving fairness for consumers to the 2G / 3G mobile switch-off and the migration to VoIP phone services from copper lines, among many other things.
The plan itself doesn’t say anything that we didn’t already know, but it does offer a useful overview of their key work areas and includes some new dates for the changes they’re planning to introduce. The consultation on all this is expected to run until 9th February 2022, and if all goes well then the final plan may be published in March 2022. You can check it out here.
