Macquarie Capital-backed UK ISP Voneus, which holds a “near term” plan to cover 100,000 homes in rural areas with their Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network (here), has today appointed the ex-commercial director at BT Enterprise, Francesca Lee, to be their new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
The new appointment is part of Voneus’ plan to more than double its customer footprint by March 2023 to total 20,000. The operator states that it currently delivers ultrafast and superfast broadband to over 10,000 properties across more than 25 counties in England and Wales, which is up from 7,100 one year ago.
Francesca Lee herself is said to have 18-years of experience, including in senior commercial roles at Virgin Media and BT Consumer, where she helped launch various large-scale projects such as BT Sport and Netflix on BT TV, as well as IPTV channels and the YouView platform.

“I’m overjoyed to welcome Francesca to the team. She brings vast experience of delivering effective commercial strategies based on customer and market insights within the telecommunications sector, as well as a passion for delivering change.
Voneus is on a rapid growth curve as we look to scale up to provide much needed services to hard-to-reach communities, and I’m confident Francesca’s energy and vision will contribute to us achieving our goals.”
End.
