Network builder and UK ISP Brsk, which is working to deploy a gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network across parts of Greater Manchester, Lancashire, West Yorkshire and the West Midlands in England, has today revealed that they’ve now covered 100,000 premises (up from 70,000 in Sept 2022).
The operator, which only recently secured a huge funding boost of “up to” £178m (here), is already deploying across various locations such as Cottingley, Keighley and Bingley, Clayton, Allerton & Sandy Lane, Heaton & Daisy Hill, Burnley, Padiham, Bradford, Queensbury, Thornton, Accrington and many more.
The figure of 100,000 premises represents a rough build rate of around 12,000 premises passed per month (up from the c. 10,000 we estimated in September) and they’re expecting to almost double that in the “near term“. In addition, the provider has reported 5,000 connected customers, which may seem small but it’s not surprising given the rapidly accelerated pace of build this year (take-up takes time to grow and a rapid pace of build often supresses such figures).

The provider’s longer-term aim is to pass 1 million homes by 2026, although they’ll require much more funding in order to reach that. But so far their progress appears to be going in the right direction (20 months to reach 100,000 premises) and isn’t bad for a business that was only founded in 2020.
Giorgio Iovino, CEO of Brsk, said:
“I’m extremely proud of the pace at which the brsk team and our partners have moved to get us to this milestone and for the ongoing drive to continue to connect customers to our network. Our focus has always been on building a sustainable business with a culture that is customer-centric and a brand that does what it says on the tin.
Our Trustpilot reviews are a testament to the way we do right by our customers and live up to our purpose to bring better broadband to the areas where we provide our services.”
Customers of the service tend to pay from £25 per month (currently discounted to £12.50) for a 100Mbps (symmetric) service and that goes up to £45 per month for their top 900Mbps tier (discounted to £22.50) on a 24-month term. The packages include free installation and a router, as well as a commitment toward no mid-contract price hikes.
One slight curiosity to point out is that today’s press release highlights how they “plan to have 1 million homes connected by 2026“, while a slightly older post on their website said we’re “on track to pass 1 million homes by 2025.” As a rule, we’d generally take the latest of the two dates as being more reflective, and that’s before we get into the “connected” vs “passed” issue (we assume both to mean premises passed).

Brsk confirms the target should be by 2026.
Brsk and Netomnia are the fastest 0-100k alts. Big props to them
Exactly this ^^^, big fan of BRSK and Netomnia – both quietly building real networks!
Very poor take up. Very poor pole safety.
Do you work for BT or Openreach Fibrebubble
People don’t understand the options available to them. Sometimes FTTP or FTTC may be available in an area but some customers are stupidly stubborn as they think it will be too much hassle or expensive when they’ll be paying like £50 for crappy ADSL
