Some of the customers who have recently been migrated from broadband ISP Brsk to Youfibre, which reflects the Substantial Group’s (Netomnia) recent decision to merge their two retail providers (here and here), are now complaining of being hit by billing / invoicing errors (e.g. inflated bills) and other issues after making the transition.

Customers of broadband provider Brsk, which is part of the Substantial Group (Netomnia) that in January 2026 decided to merge their two retail providers under a single brand – Youfibre (here), have just been notified that the migration process will begin on Monday 16th March 2026.

Alternative broadband operator Netomnia (Substantial Group), which has already expanded their full fibre (FTTP) network to cover 3 million UK premises (here) and is close to signing a major consolidation agreement with either Virgin Media’s (nexfibre) parents or CityFibre (here), is understood to have held talks over redundancies with around 50 employees.

Several weeks have now passed since ISPreview revealed that one of the UK’s largest alternative full fibre broadband networks, Netomnia (Substantial Group), had decided to merge their two retail broadband ISPs – Brsk and YouFibre – into a single brand (here). Brsk have now begun to notify customers that they’re adopting YouFibre’s name.

One of the UK’s largest alternative broadband networks, Netomnia (Substantial Group), has today reported their latest Q4 2025 results. The figures reveal that revenues on their full fibre (FTTP) network increased to £104m (up 168% year-on-year) and take-up reached 15% (up 28% YoY). Some 3 million premises are now covered (up by 245k in Q4 vs 241k in Q3).

Alternative rural internet provider Voneus, which has deployed a mix of full fibre (FTTP) and wireless (FWA) broadband networks over some of Wales and England’s remote communities, has announced that they will make Netgem TV‘s new IPTV set-top-box and streaming service – PLEIO – available via new TV service bundles. The new kit features support for Freely‘s live UK V streaming service.

One of the UK’s largest alternative full fibre broadband networks, Netomnia (Substantial Group), has confirmed to ISPreview that they plan to merge their two retail internet providers into a single brand. The move means that Brsk’s operations will now become part of YouFibre and adopt the same branding – reflecting the strong performance of the latter brand.

Internet connection testing firm Opensignal has today published their 2025 Fixed Broadband Experience report, which gauges the performance of major ISPs across the UK including BT (inc. EE), Sky Broadband, TalkTalk, Three UK, Virgin Media and Vodafone. Overall, Virgin Media scored wins in every single national connectivity category.

Alternative broadband ISP Brsk, which last year merged with Netomnia’s growing multi-gigabit speed Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network (here), has reportedly been hit by a major data breach that is claimed to have resulted in 230,105 customer records being exposed to hackers. The database has since been put up for sale.

Alternative UK broadband ISP Brsk, which harnesses Netomnia’s growing national full fibre network (here), has today officially started to make Netgem TV‘s new IPTV set-top-box and streaming service – PLEIO – available via their broadband and TV bundles. The new kit is both more powerful and features support for the new Freely live TV streaming service.

One of the country’s largest alternative broadband networks, Netomnia (Substantial Group), will today publish their Q3 2025 results. The figures reveal that revenues on their multi-gigabit speed full fibre (FTTP) network increased to £27.7m (up from £23.6m in Q2 and 125% YoY) and take-up reached 14% (up from 13.4%). Some 2.8 million premises are now covered (up 241k in Q3 vs 243k in Q2).

Sister UK ISPs Brsk and YouFibre (Netomnia) will today launch special Black Friday pricing across their range of broadband packages. On top of that, Brsk also confirmed that their new WiFi 7 routers will, from today (1st Oct 2025), be included as standard for all new customer orders (YouFibre did the same in August – here).

One of the country’s largest alternative broadband networks, Netomnia (Substantial Group), which has now covered 2.8 million UK premises RFS (inc. 400,000 customers) with their Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) based broadband ISP network (up from 2.7m on 1st Sept 2025), have this morning announced a refresh of their brand following the merger with Brsk.
