Rural focused UK ISP Gigaclear, which already covers 300,000 premises in remote parts of England with their gigabit-capable full fibre (FTTP) network, will this morning kick off their early Black Friday sales by offering new customers the chance to take a 500Mbps (symmetric) speed package for just £19 a month.
The package, which is a special one that will only be available to take until 30th November 2022, includes 2 x wireless routers (Linksys mesh), an 18-month minimum contract term, free installation and unlimited usage. But after the first 18-month term, the price you pay will return to £52 per month.
A genuinely fantastic price, for what is the second-highest mainstream broadband speed.
I agree, it’s a great price.
A shame Worcestershire County Council decided not to allow this company to develop their network in this area, it would have been welcomed by most of us who live in Worcestershire.
Crap penny pinching government, doesn’t matter of it’s in Westminster or local councils.
For ‘rural’ please read as “very small areas of rural-ish Southern England”.
Appreciate it’s all marketing but still, when people read ‘rural’ it is always better to assume ‘regional’ and in most cases “probably not where you are”.
