Home Broadband ISP iTalk Raises Prices for UK Consumers

Internet service provider iTalk has recently become the latest broadband ISP to raise prices across their range of ADSL, FTTC and FTTP based internet and phone packages for consumers, which are all powered via Openreach’s national network. The change applies to their standard monthly prices and doesn’t impact existing first-term discounts.

For example, iTalk’s basic 10Mbps “Simply Broadband” (ADSL) package has increased from £21.99 to £28.89 per month, while their 35Mbps “Fast Fibre” (FTTC) has gone from £30.49 to £37.39 per month and their top 250Mbps “Full Fibre” package has risen from £44.99 to £49.99 per month (or £57.99 if you add a ‘Digital Voice‘ phone service).

However, as stated earlier, some of these packages are currently being offered alongside a first term discount that will mask the increase by shaving up to around £10 off the monthly prices of some tiers (e.g. Full Fibre 250Mbps is currently discounted to £39.99 for new customers). The packages are generally sold on a 24-month contract term and all deals are still covered by their “Fixed Price Promise“, meaning that prices will not rise within the minimum period.
