Bath-based alternative network ISP Truespeed, which is building a new 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network across rural parts of South West England, has today reported that their network is now home to 15,000 customer connections (up from 13k in February 2023).
The operator, which holds an “ambitious” target to reach 500,000 properties by the end of 2026 (mostly across Devon and Somerset), is currently being funded by a £175 million investment from Aviva and added 25,000 new properties to their network coverage during 2022.
Sadly, the latest update doesn’t say how many premises their network now covers, although they reported 60,000 premises passed in February 2023 (up from 50k in Sept 2022). As a more rural focused provider, Truespeed’s build tends to run at a slower pace, so we suspect their coverage isn’t much beyond what it was a couple of months ago.

Truespeed’s next coverage target is to reach around 120,000 premises passed (footprint) and around 26,000 customers by the end of 2023.
