UK ISP Home Telecom, which is a subsidiary of the wider Telecom Acquisitions (TAL) group (TalkTalk holds a controlling stake in them), has today announced the acquisition (customer base) of another mobile and broadband provider – Wythenshawe-based Neatley – for an undisclosed sum.
Neatley is said to be a small business with a well-established TalkTalk and Vodafone customer base. Under the agreement, Neatley will continue trading as part of the Intelling group and will continue adding customers in the
future, albeit now powered by Home Telecom.
As usual no financial details of the transaction were released, but we note that Home Telecom have ambitious growth plan targets of circa £38m servicing 100,000 properties “in the near future“.

Nigel Barnett CEO commented:
“Times are really changing fast in this land grab of passing homes. Funders are now actually taking into account the real numbers of homes connected into their forecast, which is a totally different number to the homes passed and really affects the drawdown of funds. So watch this space. It is well documented that in just over three years we have added over 75,000 customers, I am reassured that only a handful of extremely well-funded Altnets have more customers than our group.”
The company added that the next three months would continue to see further acquisitions and the UK rollout of Home Telecoms plan to take their offers directly to the home, further increasing their footprint nationwide.
Better than doing it in a complex mess of financial transactions.
