Network operator and broadband provider G.Network, which recently resumed the roll-out of their 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network in London (here), has today announced that Cerberus Networks has become the latest ISP to gain access to harness their network at wholesale.
The latest agreement follows G.Network’s inaugural wholesale partnership with Spitfire, announced in October last year (here). But at the time of writing, it’s not yet known precisely what sort of packages and prices Cerberus will be launching, although they do have access to offer speeds of up to 10Gbps via the open access platform.
In terms of G.Network’s coverage, the last official progress update we had from the provider, which was all the way back in 2022, stated that they had covered 400,000 premises. But independent checking has – as of January 2024 – so far only been able to identify around 248,000 as being ready for service (here).
Bob Hendy, Director at Cerberus Networks, said:
“As a communications and managed IT provider, we see huge demand for cost-effective, fast and reliable internet services from businesses of all sizes. Partnering with G.Network means that our customers now have access to an expanding network, powering digital transformation and giving a real boost to business growth. We are delighted to be working with G.Network and look forward to a long and successful partnership delivering gigabit internet across London.”
Kevin Murphy, Chief Executive of G.Network, said:
“G.Network is focused on building a better-connected London. By giving wholesalers the opportunity to access our powerful 100% fibre network, more businesses across the capital can harness our gigafast speeds to thrive. We’re delighted to have a distinguished wholesaler like Cerberus on board as we continue to demonstrate our plans for growth.”
Hopefully more details on packages and prices will surface soon.
