Internet provider Lit Fibre, which harnesses CityFibre’s national UK full fibre (FTTP) network (covering c.4.5 million premises), has this afternoon announced the launch of three new line-only broadband packages for business customers – offering symmetric speeds from 500Mbps and up to 2.4Gbps, with contract options of 36, 24 and 12 months available.
All Lit Business connections are said to be customisable with optional add-ons, including their Lit Hub Pro router and wireless MESH system to improve WiFi coverage. But for some reason, we only seemed to be able to bring up their consumer broadband packages via Lit’s business page, although thankfully their announcement does include a summary of the new plans, albeit without any pricing.

The provider has also pledged “no mid-contract price hikes” and “bot-free customer support … because real solutions come from real people“. FC Clacton, home of The Seasiders team, has already become the first business to benefit from the new Lit Business service.
Tom Williams, CEO at Lit Fibre, said:
“We know the business landscape has changed. Whether you’re an independent local business or a multi-site enterprise, connectivity that’s both fast and reliable is non-negotiable. Lit Business puts businesses back in control, combining ultrafast speeds, responsive human support, and service standards that raise the bar. This is internet done properly; this is internet that means business.”
UPDATE 4:35pm
The reason why we couldn’t bring up any business packages earlier is because LitFibre are using BLPU classification to determine if a property is a business or not, which in simple terms means that home-based businesses won’t be able to order one of these packages online. The order system is also a bit of a “request a quote” style affair, with no pricing information being displayed unless you first part with a bunch of details.

Any indication it will *ever* be available to home customers? I am going to switch rarther than wait I think.
