Internet provider and UK network builder Exascale, which has already deployed their own gigabit speed full fibre (FTTP) network to a few thousand premises in the Telford and Wrekin area, has refreshed the pricing of its consumer packages and also confirmed that customers can now order services over CityFibre and Gigaclear’s own fibre networks.
Regular readers will know that we already reported on the expected CityFibre and Gigaclear developments back in January 2026 (here), although at that time Gigaclear’s full fibre network wasn’t yet live on their platform, and you couldn’t order the new CityFibre plans via their website. But now you can and the pricing has all been refreshed (mostly getting cheaper).
We’ve summarised all the packages and pricing below. Most of these are available on a 24-month minimum contract term and include unlimited usage, a WiFi 6 mesh wireless router and free activation. One exception to the free setup is on their 2Gbps plans, which do apply a one-off £50 charge due to the more advanced router they bundle with those plans.

In addition, you can also add a Static IP address for an additional cost of £5.76 per month, which is a little bit more expensive than some other providers.

Gigaclear seems expensive for 1000, they themselves only charge £24pm for 900.
Is there something I’m missing here? Is the option to pay extra for a static IP the main USP?
Perhaps because Gigaclear’s post contract pricing for 900Mbps is something like £85, while I don’t think Exascale adopt the same approach (i.e. higher up-front price, but it’s more sticky post-contract), although I need to double-check.
Gigaclear wholesale pricing is higher than their direct retail pricing unfortunately, however if Gigaclear customers are out of contract and are no longer classed as a ‘new customer’ Exascale may very well be a great option.
