The Good Law Project (GLP) has filed judicial review proceedings against the East of England Broadband Network (E2BN) for their alleged decision to “unlawfully award” a £70bn ‘Everything Net Zero‘ Framework Agreement to the Place Group, which they claim is a micro “company with scant emissions reduction expertise“.

Mobile operator EE – including broadband ISPs BT and Plusnet – have today revealed that they’ve blocked 11 million international scam calls since July, with the rate rising to 1 million a day. This comes after they launched a new AI powered firewall to filter out callers from international locations posing to be from UK-based numbers for legitimacy.

Mobile operator Three UK has announced that their existing Chief Network Officer (CNO), Carlo Melis, is to be replaced by Iain Milligan next month. Carlo is understood to be returning to his native Italy to become Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Three’s sister company, Wind Tre.

CityFibre UK has today confirmed that they’ll invest £10m to cover almost all of the premises in the Nottinghamshire (England) market town of Newark (Newark-on-Trent) with their new gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband ISP network. Construction work is planned to begin this November 2022.
