CityFibre has announced “one of Europe’s largest ever Full Fibre financings” by completing a debt raise worth a staggering £4.9bn. The Swindon Borough Council has confirmed that “all works” by CityFibre, which is currently investing £40m to deploy a new 1Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband ISP network across the Wiltshire town, will be “inspected for defects shortly“. The move was prompted by “numerous” complaints.

UK ISP Giganet has today announced that their gigabit speed Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband service on CityFibre’s network will soon become available nationwide. At present you can only sign-up to CF’s full fibre network via Giganet’s consumer packages in 27 of the operator’s deployed cities and towns, but that will soon change.
