Alternative network ISP Call Flow Solutions has completed another expansion of their ‘up to’ 100Mbps capable Fibre-to-the-Cabinet (FTTC / VDSL2) based broadband network in Kent, which now includes an extra 700 premises in parts of rural Fairseat and Stansted.

Vigilant Global and New Line Networks (NLN) have proposed to build two new 1,000ft (304 metres) tall and 3 metre wide towers in the South Thanet area of Kent (England) in order to make large financial trades fractionally faster, but they could also be used to improve local broadband connectivity.

The Kent and Medway councils in England appear to have quietly signed a second Broadband Delivery UK contract with BT, which will see the operator extend their FTTC/P based superfast broadband (24Mbps+) network beyond the existing coverage target of 91% by the end of 2015 (note: 95% will be covered by the “fibre broadband” footprint).
