Internet and web hosting provider Freeola has introduced a special offer on their 12-month minimum term contracts for customers joining in areas covered by Freedom Fibre (FreedomTruespeed Group) or Trooli’s full fibre broadband networks, which discounts the price by between £8 and £10 per month.

Wholesale networking provider PlatformX Communications (formerly TalkTalk Wholesale) has today announced that they’ve begun making residential full fibre broadband (FTTP) services available via Trooli’s alternative UK network to partner ISPs, which follows the signing of a new wholesale partnership back in March 2025 (here).

A small group of homes in the East Dorset (England) town of Ferndown have effectively been denied access to a new gigabit broadband network because a local housing association, which owns a crucial piece of land, are only willing to grant Virgin Media’s (nexfibre) engineers a wayleave (legal access agreement) for an individual property; not the wider area.

Alternative network operator and ISP Trooli, which have deployed their full fibre broadband (FTTP) network to cover 460,000 premises across parts of England and some of Scotland (up from 448k in Sept 2025), has today revealed that their recently established wholesale partnership with PXC (formerly TalkTalk Wholesale) is now “ready to trade at scale“.

Broadband provider iDNET has recently added support for three additional alternative Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) networks, including Trooli, Netomnia (business plans only) and Freedom Fibre, which is on top of their partnerships with existing networks including CityFibre, Openreach, MS3 and FullFibre.

Alternative network operator and ISP Trooli, which has deployed their full fibre broadband (FTTP) network across 423,000 premises RFS (2nd Jun 2025) in various parts of England and some of Scotland, appears to have recently refreshed their standard package pricing – resulting in cheaper services on several of their key tiers.

Some residents in the semi-rural village of Catsfield in East Sussex (England), which is home to nearly 900 people, have been left without access to fixed broadband and phone services for roughly three weeks after a car fire caused damage to Openreach’s nearby telecoms pole and fibre optic cables.

The current owners of internet provider Yayzi Broadband appear to be in the process of establishing a new provider called nufibre, which is due to launch in about a month and will be offering FTTP broadband packages via a selection of network operators (the website shows logos for Openreach, Trooli, Freedom Fibre, MS3, CityFibre and others).

Zen Internet CEO Launching The Fibre Hub in London

Rochdale-base UK ISP Zen Internet has today officially launched The Fibre Hub, which essentially aggregates access to a number of major and smaller alternative full fibre broadband networks (Openreach, CityFibre, Trooli, Freedom Fibre etc.) and offers that up to partners (e.g. other ISPs) at the wholesale level.

Network operator and ISP Trooli (Call Flow) has confirmed to ISPreview that a small number of their customers are at risk of disconnection, which will occur when they shut one of their old hybrid wireless and fibre optic broadband networks in rural Hampshire (England). This was originally deployed around ten years ago with public funding (Building Digital UK).

Rochdale-base broadband ISP Zen Internet has revealed that Trooli’s alternative full fibre network, which at the last update (July 2024) covered 370,000 homes and businesses across parts of England and Scotland, is “now available to buy” via their service after being almost fully integrated as part of last year’s wholesale agreement.
