UK ISP BT Adds Sport TV App to Business Broadband Packages

Small and medium sized business customers who take one of the Infinity (FTTC/P) broadband packages from BT Business will now also receive access to the operator’s BTSport TV app for the duration of the contract. But it’s only for personal use, not for commercial or business broadcasting.

The app itself offers video streaming access so that users can watch exclusive sport including all UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League matches, 42 Premier League games live and The Emirates FA Cup etc.

The offer is available for all new SME customers of Broadband Premium, Infinity Unlimited and Infinity Premium, those who upgrade to fibre, and for customers who renew their contract.

Mike Tomlinson, BT MD for SMEs, said:

“Our business broadband customers can now experience the best of BT’s live sporting action on two mobile devices while in the office, at home and on the move around the UK, thanks to our extensive fixed and mobile networks. In today’s world many of us blur the lines between work and personal hours so it’s great to be able to offer BT Sport for those moments of personal downtime either at home or in the office.”

We’re unsure why BT Business are announcing this today as the App has been present on the related packages for at least a month already. Otherwise all of the packages include 24/7 support, access to 5 million WiFi hotspots, up to 10 email addresses, £5 off the BTMobile plans and a Hub 5 wireless router.

Customers who require a new line or reactivation of an existing line may also have to pay £125 +vat (one-off) or £40 for taking over a working line.
