The internet access division of high street retailer John Lewis, which launched in April 2012 after taking on customers from Waitrose Broadband and Greenbee, has begun offering the first 6 months of broadband and calls absolutely free to new customers.
The new promotion, which is designed to entice customers from rival providers, only affects the ISPs standard broadband packages and not its more expensive superfast broadband (FTTC) option, which continues to cost from £25 per month and offers speeds of up to 38Mbps. New customers are also required to pay £13.50 per month for Line Rental, regardless of which package they choose.
