The mobile division of TalkTalk has today introduced a new super cheap SIM-only plan that costs just £3.50 a month for 100 minutes, 250 texts and a 200MB (MegaByte) data allowance for Mobile Broadband usage (doubled from 100MB when ordered online).
The Communications Provider claims that over 200,000 customers have now taken their Smartphones or SIM-only deals and many of those come with a fairly standard 12 month contract. It should also be said that TalkTalk’s mobile virtual network platform is based off Vodafone UK, which hasn’t always been able to deliver the best 3G Internet performance (the MVNO agreement doesn’t appear to include 4G).

Dan Meader from TalkTalk told ISPreview.co.uk:
“A big appeal of TalkTalk Mobile is our firm value for money position. We offer some of the most premium handsets available for the most competitive price. Our new tariffs are centered around having more time to chat, text and surf the net without paying a penny extra.
With more handsets than people out there, our SIM only price plans are perfect for people who want to keep their current handset or hand it down to their children, without having to take a pricey contract. We want people to have more choice and flexibility.”
Now here’s how all those new SIM-only plans stack up.
