The Government’s Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has today published a baseline report for its UK Broadband Impact Study, which aims to ensure that there is a good understanding of the impact that their Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) programme is having.
It’s claimed that the report, which is designed to build a number of baseline indicators related to the roll-out and impact of faster broadband in the UK, will be used to “inform future funding decisions” and to help “maximise the value for money of these investments“. More reports will now follow over the next few years.

But if you’re wondering why we haven’t highlighted any of the statistics yet then that’s because they’re 90% based on reports that we’ve already covered from both the Office for National Statistics (Internet Stats) and Ofcom (Infrastructure Report 2013 and Speeds Report Aug 2013). As a result there’s nothing really new here but feel free to have a look if you like.
