Mobile operator EE has announced that their customers in the United Kingdom will now also be able to benefit from “superfast” 4G (LTE) based Mobile Broadband connectivity when roaming around France and Spain, which will be offered at no extra cost over their existing charges. More countries to follow.
The operator typically offers a range of consumer price plans for roaming, including one that claims to give you a “huge” 100MB (MegaBytes) of data for just £3 in a 24 hour period (daily). So it might be faster but the high cost of data will continue to limit your activity to basic tasks, at least until the next round of EU induced price cuts.

EE now plans to extend its 4G coverage across several other “major roaming destination” including the USA, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands by the Summer 2014.
