UK ISP PlusNet Cuts Unlimited Standard and Superfast Broadband Prices

Wednesday, Jul 9th, 2014 (10:35 am) - Score 1,353

The start of summer usually means cheaper broadband offers and PlusNet is no exception. The ISP, fresh from launching a revamped selection of standard (ADSL) and superfast (FTTC) broadband bundles, has yet again cut their prices with a series of new offers.

As usual customers only get the best deals if they also elect to take PlusNet’s own Phone Line Rental service, which after a recent price rise now costs from the equivalent of £12.99 per month (when pre-paid 12 months in advance) or £15.95 as a standard monthly charge. Otherwise the deals are as follows.

Unlimited Broadband and Homephone
* Typical download speeds of up to 16Mbps
* Truly unlimited usage
* Free wireless router
* Free weekend calls to UK landlines, 0845 / 0870 numbers and other PlusNet customers
* Free Activation when taking a Home Phone (normally £50)
* McAfee security
* 12 Month Contract

MONTHLY PRICE: £2.50 per month for the first 12 months (£9.99 thereafter)

Unlimited Fibre and Homephone
* Typical download speeds of up to 38Mbps (19.5Mbps upload)
* Truly unlimited usage
* Free wireless router
* Free evening and weekend calls to UK landlines, 0845 / 0870 numbers and other PlusNet customers
* Free Activation when taking a Home Phone (normally £50)
* McAfee security
* 18 Month Contract

MONTHLY PRICE: £7.50 per month for the first 9 months (£14.99 thereafter)

Unlimited Fibre Extra and Homephone
* Typical download speeds of up to 76Mbps (19.5Mbps upload)
* Truly unlimited usage
* Free wireless router
* Free evening and weekend calls to UK landlines, 0845 / 0870 numbers and other PlusNet customers
* Free Activation when taking a Home Phone (normally £50)
* McAfee security
* 18 Month Contract

MONTHLY PRICE: £12.50 per month for the first 9 months (£19.99 thereafter)

Take note Anytime UK Calls can also be added for an extra +£5 a month or +£7 per month if you want to add 300 anytime minutes to the top 35 international destinations. Otherwise the new promotion is expected to run until 2nd September 2014. As usual those in the most remote rural areas might have to pay more for their service, so do check first before committing.

Standalone broadband packages are available but they tend to cost extra (e.g. the entry-level unlimited broadband package has a standard price of £12.49 per month instead of £9.99 on the bundle above)
