Customers looking to take one of Virgin Media and TalkTalk’s broadband bundles should note that this week both providers have launched a number of new time-limited special gift credit and voucher offers, some of which are worth up to £120. Virgin are also offering a free Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 on their top package.
Firstly, Virgin Media informs that its Big Bundles of broadband, TV, phone and or mobile will benefit from a new credit offer until 26th August 2014, which is on top of their existing 12 month price discount. In short, customers that take the entry-level Big Easy package will get a bill credit of £30, which jumps to £60 for Big Bang, £90 for Big Kahuna.

In addition, those who take the operators top-end Big Daddy bundle will instead get a free tablet computer included, which is apparently worth £159.99 (this can also be taken with a Big Kahuna bundle that includes all the TV add-ons). This is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (note: you must allow 28 days for delivery and the discounts are for online orders), although we’re not clear on whether it’s the cheaper 8GB or premium 16GB version.
Elsewhere TalkTalk has decided to add a £120 Love2Shop voucher (can be used in many different high street shops) with all of their packages, which is only available to new customers who purchase online and who don’t require a new telephone line or number. The voucher offer will be available until the end of August 2014.
BT has recently also rejigged their voucher offers, but since that’s a decrease rather than an increase then there’s not a lot of point in mentioning it. We generally prefer not to report on voucher and credit changes too often, unless there are several big changes like today, as otherwise they can easily become like musical chairs (recycling the same sort of promotions every week) and we’re not terribly keen on that.
