Customers who fancy taking out one of Sky Broadband’s standard unlimited (up to 17Mbps) packages for Christmas can now take the service free for the first 12 months (£7.50 per month thereafter), which includes a £50 M&S Voucher, and likewise Sky Fibre Unlimited (FTTC up to 38Mbps) is also free for the first 6 months of service (£20 thereafter).
As usual the promotion, which is also available to any existing Sky TV customers who might wish to upgrade, isn’t completely free because customers will also be required to take Sky’s Phone Line Rental (includes free UK weekend calls) for £16.40 per month.
Generally the standard package includes free activation on a 12 month contract, while Sky Fibre charges a fee of £30 for activation and there’s an 18 month contract. Both packages include a free wireless router, Sky Shield (Parental Controls and Anti-Malware), unlimited access to WiFi Hotspots from The Cloud, unlimited data usage and a partridge in a pear tree (disclaimer: package may not include a partridge).
