Cumbria-focused ISP Solway Communications has deployed a new 1000Mbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premise (FTTP) broadband network to serve businesses on the Parkhouse Business Park in Carlisle, which sits roughly 1/2 mile from Junction 44 of the M6.
The provider is perhaps better known for installing various Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) based broadband networks to homes and businesses in the county, although they’ve only fairly recently branched out into deploying pure fibre optic infrastructure.
Nick Kittoe, MD of Solway Communications, said (here):
“To make the most of the digital market, businesses need a good, fast internet connection which they can rely on, no matter what.
Now Carlisle’s got another good bit of fibre which can make that possible.”
Identical fibre optic deployments are also taking place at the Kingmoor Business Park and on the Crindledyke Farm Residential Estate.
