UK ISP BT Cuts Setup Fee on Unlimited Infinity “Fibre Broadband” Packages

Friday, Jun 9th, 2017 (9:01 am) - Score 1,145

The revolving door of special offers continues as BT’s consumer ISP division has today significantly cut the one-off setup fees on their superfast (FTTC) and ultrafast (FTTP) Infinity “fibre broadband” packages to just £9.99. The packages also include a £125 Reward Card (Mastercard).

As usual all of BT’s “Infinity” packages include a 12 month contract term, line rental, unlimited usage, free UK weekend calls, a wireless router (SmartHub), at least 100GB of BT Cloud storage (500GB on Unlimited Infinity 2, 3 and 4), BT Virus Protect and Parental Controls, BT Call Protect (stops nuisance calls), free access to BT’s national network of WiFi hotspots and SmartTalk (voice calls over Wi-Fi/4G).

Take note that Infinity 3 and 4 are both ultrafast FTTP products and as such they are currently only available to around 435,000+ homes and businesses in a few parts of the UK, although this is expected to reach 2 million premises by 2020. By comparison Infinity 1 and 2 use slower FTTC technology, which can reach around 90% of the UK.
