UK ISP BT has launched a new range of standard and superfast broadband packages that are specifically tailored for students, which means they feature a shorter 9 month contract term, different pricing and come with free access to the operator’s BTSport TV app.
As usual subscribers can also expect to receive an included wireless router, line rental, unlimited usage, access to 5 million of BT’s public WiFi hotspots, internet security / parental controls, unlimited UK weekend calls and 24/7 dedicated UK / Ireland based support.

Superfast Fibre 2 Unlimited Student Deal (FTTC)

So far as we can tell the pricing will remain the same after the first 9 month term concludes, although the exception is that their free BTSport access will suddenly jump to costing £9 per month if you haven’t cancelled it. Sadly the landing page we’ve been given for the new packages doesn’t appear to show the standard ADSL2+ service but we assume it exists as an option via the order process.
We should point out that Virgin Media recently launched their own range of packages for students (details here), which has the advantage of offering a 30 day rolling contract term.
hope you see this Mark, any clue when this will come into play at all?
