Business UK ISP Onecom Secures £30m Funding via HSBC Deal

Hampshire-based telecoms and broadband provider Onecom has announced that they’ve successfully secured a five-year funding deal worth £30 million from HSBC UK. According to the ISP, this extra money will enable them to “invest heavily” in both their “systems and teams.“

Apparently the first project to benefit from the new funding will involve an upgrade to their IT systems and increasing the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support its customer services division. There’s also talk of further jobs being created to fuel the company’s future expansion.

The Southampton office of national law firm Clarke Willmott acted for Onecom to help it secure the deal. Unfortunately that’s just about all the detail we’ve been given.
