UK ISP TalkTalk Business (TTB) has appointed Jonathan Kini as its new Managing Director. Jonathan has previously held senior roles at both cable broadband operator Virgin Media and mobile giant Vodafone, as well as working for Drax Plc as CEO of the Customer Business and acting as an advisor to the Bank of England.
The move follows the exit of long time TTB figure Kristine Olsen-Chapman, who had been in the MD position since April 2017 and has more widely worked within the ISP for much of the past decade. Apparently Kristine chose to step down as a result of TalkTalk’s HQ move to Manchester (Salford), which would have made travel difficult as her family is based in London.
Jonathan Kini, MD of TTB, said: “TalkTalk Business is truly at the forefront of the UK’s telecoms industry and has immense scope for continued growth. I’m joining at an incredibly exciting time as the business steams ahead with its investment and commitment to a full fibre future. I look forward to driving this movement while keeping our partners firmly at the heart of every decision we make.” Jonathan will report to TalkTalk’s CEO Tristia Harrison.
