Business ISP Giganet appears to have jumped on the UK Black Friday sales wagon a little early this year, not least by offering 2 months of free service on Cityfibre’s gigabit-capable “Elite” and “Flex” products and one month free on Giganet’s own Local Leased Line packages during November.
We don’t often see business broadband and Ethernet ISPs like Giganet doing Black Friday style sales, but that doesn’t mean to say that such things aren’t welcome, particularly given the potential savings involved with such high capacity data / Ethernet connections.
For example, Giganet are currently offering the Cityfibre Elite 1Gbps symmetrical Leased Line on a 37 month contract term for £374 +vat per month (i.e. 2 months free is a saving of £748) and the ISP’s own Giganet Local Leased Lines on a 36 month term can save up to £569 for the same speeds (i.e. 1 month free).
The provider’s Black Friday offer will run for the whole month from 1st – 29th November 2019 for all new orders made using the special offer code – “BF19“. All services include a managed Juniper Router and are supported by 6hr fix 24×7 SLA, Static IP addresses and optional managed failover services.
Matthew Skipsey, Head of Giganet, told ISPreview.co.uk:
“As an ISP with direct relationships to over a dozen carriers, we are extremely competitive on price all year around. Special occasions like Black Friday allow us to offer even more value to potential customers.
Our Black Friday is offering a great opportunity to get our leading service for less. Our 100% uptime, award-winning customer service team and proactive monitoring means all customers get the best service possible, without having to worry about something as mission-critical as connectivity.”
Cityfibre’s Dark Fibre network is obviously available via a large number of UK cities, while Giganet has separately unbundled and invested in local exchanges in Winchester, Basingstoke and Salisbury (i.e. these benefit from better service prices and more product flexibility). We should point out that the aforementioned discounts also apply to their slower leased line tiers from 100Mbps up.
Businesses that choose to order such services can also still benefit from a discount of up to £2,500 on the cost of installation by harnessing the Government’s Gigabit Voucher Scheme.
They have some decent offers even for people who can’t get BT FTTP – They offer 100/100 for £230 a month (with the VAT in) free connection and 36 months – that’s very good for a business offering.
