New UK operator Full Fibre Limited, which last year started building a new Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) based broadband network (here) – aimed at “rural and semi-urban areas” around Devon, Surrey, Somerset, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire, has done a new video to showcase their progress in Shrewsbury.
The provider, which operates its network as a wholesale platform via iNeedFibre for other ISPs to harness (e.g. SWS, HFL Broadband, Connect Me to 2 Full Fibre, ANLX, Air Broadband, Cloud Wireless and fibrehop), has only fairly recently started to go live across thousands of premises in locations such as Leominster (Fastershire project), Ivybridge and South Hams.
Residential packages tend to range from about £30 per month for a 50Mbps service to £80 for 330Mbps. The latter is quite expensive but then some of the areas being targeted are the sort that would be fairly expensive for a commercial operator to reach anyway, which is reflected in the price you pay.
Sadly, the network access provider hasn’t sent us any updates on their progress since last year, although we know they’ve been very busy from all their on-going build projects and now they’ve done a short but interesting video to highlight their latest work in the Shropshire town of Shrewsbury. Granted it’s a little bit “promotional,” but we always enjoy watching engineers laying fibre.

This is great news for Shrewsbury! All the best to the Full Fibre team, I think they will have huge success there.
