Alternative UK broadband ISP Zzoomm has this week introduced a range of business packages on their new Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network, which offers symmetric speeds of up to 10Gbps (Gigabits per second) to firms in their initial deployment area of Henley-on-Thames (Oxfordshire).
Until now Zzoomm has primarily focused upon residential packages for local homes, although like most providers they have also sought to build their own business packages. The provider has thus introduced a range of standard business packages and a range of dedicated (uncontended) capacity plans at higher cost.
All packages include a Static IP address, unlimited usage, a pledge to fix any problems within 24 hours, a 12-month contract term, free standard installation and a 6-hour on-site Service Level Agreement (SLA) supported by their 24/7 contactable customer teams (you get a 4-hour SLA on their dedicated plans).
Oddly Zzoomm’s website doesn’t seem to mention whether a router is included with their business plans and, if so, what model will be used. We have asked about this and will update again later. Otherwise, the packages look a bit like this.

UPDATE 9:36am
In terms of routers, all services below their contended 2000Mbps (ELITE) package are installed with an Adtran SmartRG SR400 (the 2000Mbps package gets a Zyxel AX7501). Obviously the dedicated capacity packages are more like leased lines, thus Zzoomm terminate the fibre in an ONT and present Ethernet to the customers infrastructure.
