Broadband ISP Gigaclear has announced that their gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network is being extended to serve around 2,200 homes and businesses in the rural Warwickshire (England) village of Harbury. In total, the provider is putting up to £7 million worth of commercial investment into the county.
The ISP’s network, which is being backed by Infracapital and a wider investment of up to £700m, has already covered 360,000 premises (up from 300,000 in May 2022) across rural parts of England and they’re aiming to reach 500,000 by the end of 2023.
Residential customers of the service currently pay from £40 a month (discounted to £17 for the first 12-months) for a symmetric 200Mbps broadband package on an 18-month term and this rises to £79 (£17 for the first 12-months) for their top 830Mbps plan. All packages include a wireless router and free installation.

Ben Woods, Gigaclear’s Central Delivery Director, said:
“At Gigaclear we’re all about delivering digital happiness and what better way to kick off 2023 than by delivering the peace of mind that comes with having access to full fibre broadband.
Reliable and fast broadband speeds are no longer luxuries but are necessary in order for many people to live their lives fully, whether it’s working from home, streaming or accessing other online entertainment. It is going to be a game-changer for households and residents in Harbury.”
Engineers are expected to ‘light’ the provider’s first street cabinet in the village this month.
