so zero benefits for anyone who is actually on ee, just ee selling it on there game store? never seen anything so pointless.
Doesn’t matter though, it’s about marketing. Brand affiliation is a proven technique, and because most people approach purchases emotionally rather than rationally it works, other than for a tiny minority who approach purchases analytically. Since a mobile contract is typically a credit agreement with a total value in the £500-1,000 range you might assume that people would apply a bit of thought and logic before they commit, the evidence is that they approach such commitments with the planning and research normally associated with a kid in a sweetshop.
“Launch partner for Call of Duty 54” sounds a whole lot more exciting than a more salient and factual “We are a pricey mobile network with crappy coverage, but a bit less crap than the rest.”
CoD on EE isn’t a great experience.
Issues with comms ? That’s strict NAT due to EE’s cgNAT.
Players “teleporting”? That’s due to jitter over the mobile network.
Sometimes PR teams should speak with their technical teams. No point promoti g something that will provide a negative experience.
EE’s partnership with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III in the UK offers customers exclusive benefits like beta access, calling cards, charms, and emblems.
