Streaming television and internet provider NOW TV (Sky UK) has begun offering free anytime UK calls alongside all of their existing unlimited broadband and phone line rental bundles, which represents a significant saving as normally such an add-on would cost an extra £8 per month to include.

New customers of Sky Broadband UK should note that the ISP has re-joined the summer price war by discounting their top two unlimited “Sky Fibre” (FTTC / VDSL2) and line rental bundles, which now start at just £25 per month for the first 18 months of service. Plus you get a £50 Prepaid Mastercard.

Budget ISP TalkTalk has slashed the monthly price of their 63Mbps ‘Faster Fibre Large‘ (FTTC / VDSL2) unlimited superfast broadband and phone line rental package to just £25 per month for the first 18 months of service, which for the first time means they can match Vodafone. But it’s only available until 12th July 2018.

Low cost UK ISP Plusnet has gone against the industry trend by testing a new range of broadband and phone bundles for one week, which are not only cheaper than usual but also come with free evening, weekend and mobile calls as standard. Previously providers have preferred to scrap their calling plans to focus on broadband.

Internet and mobile provider EE has today reduced the price of their fixed line home broadband and phone (line rental) bundles, which will be available to new customers who order before 25th June 2018 and will then last for the first 18 months of service before returning to normal.

A flash sale has cropped up on Plusnet’s UK website that reduces their range of unlimited home broadband and phone bundle prices to their lowest level in a long time, although these will only be available to order by new customers until Monday 4th June 2018 next week.

The budget ISP price war continues today as UK ISP TalkTalk discounts their standard unlimited and superfast “fibre” (FTTC / VDSL2) broadband packages down to an even lower level. Prices now start at £17 a month for ‘Fast Broadband‘ (17Mbps) and £22.50 for ‘Faster Fibre‘ (38Mbps) etc.

Once again ISP Vodafone has managed to push the UK entry-level price for an FTTC (VDSL2) based unlimited superfast home broadband and phone line package even lower. Prices have now dropped another £1 to start at £20 a month for their ‘up to’ 38Mbps plan and £25 for ‘up to’ 76Mbps.

The broadband ISP division of John Lewis has launched a new offer that bundles a “free” Lenovo IdeaPad 120S (81A4005PUK) laptop PC in Mineral Grey with their UK internet access and phone packages. The offer will be available to order until 22nd May 2018 or until the computers run out.

Low cost ISP TalkTalk appears to be taking the fight to Vodafone and other UK rivals by introducing new discounts, which will make some of their broadband and phone (with optional Pay TV) bundles as cheap as they were all the way back in 2016 (e.g. 38Mbps “fibre” for £22.50).

Another day, another discount for UK ISP Plusnet. This time they’ve introduced a new offer that cuts the price of their ‘up to’ 76Mbps FTTC “Unlimited Fibre Extra” broadband and phone package to £29.99 a month for 18 months (£38.98 thereafter) with free activation. Available until 6th March 2018.

The CEO of rural focused UK fibre optic ISP Gigaclear, Matthew Hare, has this afternoon been presented by the FTTH Council Europe with an award for his “outstanding contributions” to the acceleration of Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) ultrafast broadband technology in Europe.
