Broadband ISP Lit Fibre, which aspires to cover 500,000 UK homes by 2026 with their new gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network, has today announced that they’ve added the Wiltshire (England) town of Warminster and five new towns in the West Midlands to their rollout plan.
Installation in Warminster is already said to be “well underway” and the first homes are expected to connect in February 2023, although we couldn’t see much obvious activity on the ground with a quick cursory check of the area. At present the town is already predominantly covered by Virgin Media’s gigabit-capable broadband network and Openreach have a small bit of FTTP, albeit seemingly with no plan for a larger build (yet).
The rollout into Warminster marks Lit Fibre’s latest development in Wiltshire, where they’re also supplying full fibre broadband to Chippenham and Melksham. On top of that, they’ve today also added 5 new towns in the West Midland’s to their rollout plan, including Aldridge, Erdington, Kingstanding, Litchfield and Westbury.

Residential customers on Lit Fibre’s network currently pay from £27 per month on an 18-month term (£30 thereafter) for their unlimited 100Mbps package (includes a free install, symmetric speeds and a Wi-Fi 6 router), which rises to £58 (£65 thereafter) for 900Mbps (average).
The provider, which began their rollout last year and is being backed by an equity investment from Newlight Partners LP, is currently deploying their network to cover numerous towns in several of England’s counties (e.g. Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Hertfordshire, Worcestershire, Essex, Suffolk and the Midlands).
Lit Fibre is currently available in Midsomer Norton, Radstock, Redditch, Melksham, Harpenden, Sutton Coldfield, Chippenham, Cirencester, Evesham, Clacton-on-Sea, Bishops Stortford and Sudbury, with installation underway in St Albans, Chelmsford, Welwyn Garden City, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Potters Bar, Chipping Sodbury, Yate, Warminster, Aldridge, Erdington, Kingstanding, Lichfield and Westbury.

We’ve updated this article after Lit Fibre put out a second batch of new locations on the same day.
Is there a typo in Litchfield? or is it actually Lichfield next to Burntwood?
Not sure, it’s Lit Fibre’s list and I haven’t edited it.
Confirmed, it should be Lichfield. Don’t think it’s the first time we’ve had that one from Lit Fibre.
Thanks for confirming
Please come to Bradford-on-Avon!
I spoke to someone the otherday from Maldon and said these are causing chaos around their streets at the moment . Damaging pavements , hitting BT lines left right and centre and also damaged a couple of cars . When challenged have been extremely rude and havent offered anyone from management to assist . Not sure who the contracting company are unless they have their own .
Hi Jason, we aren’t building in Maldon and don’t have any plans to. If your friend has seen damage they should report it to whoever is building there – I’m sure they’ll deal with it appropriately (a quick search on one.network should tell you who the culprit likely is). I can confirm we are coming to Lichfield – sorry about the mis-spelling!
My apologies it was Swish fibre
