The £24.6m Connecting Shropshire (England) programme, which is working to deploy BT’s “fibre broadband” (FTTC/P) network to 93% of local premises by the end of Spring 2016 (except Telford & Wrekin), has named the next 18 communities to benefit from the project.
The first upgrades (covering 6,000 homes and businesses), which have already started to go live and will continue to do so throughout early 2014, were announced in October 2013 last year (here). Meanwhile the next batch is due to begin going live immediately after the first (i.e. from Spring 2014).
