Fixed wireless broadband ISP Relish, which uses a variation of 4G technology in the 3.5GHz band to offer Internet download speeds of up to 50Mbps around parts of central London, has launched a new same day delivery service to help customers get online.
Customers typically pay from £20 per month for the unlimited service (they separately offer a slightly more expensive service in Swindon), which includes a special broadband router that costs £50 (one-off) on a 1 month contract or it’s free if you take out a 12 month term.

Previously if you ordered this in central London (ideally by 4pm from Monday to Friday) then the ISP would promise a “next working day delivery“, but they’ve now launched an optional same day (working days only) broadband delivery service for the capital.
Bridget Lorimer, Relish’s Head of Consumer Marketing, said:
“Consumers have come to expect instant convenience, be it from taxis, same day Amazon deliveries, restaurant food at home, and even help around the house. We see no reason why broadband shouldn’t be the same.
We were the first to bring Londoners a broadband service that didn’t require them to pay for landlines they don’t want or need, and we are proud to be the first to bring same day broadband to the market. It’s absurd that time-poor Londoners have to take time off work to wait for broadband.
With our new service we are enabling Londoners to order in the morning, and ‘Netflix and Chill’ the same evening.”
In relation to this the ISP claims that 57% of Londoners reported that they have to wait anything between 3 days and 1 month for a home broadband connection, which appears to be have been based off an online survey of 1,267 adults in London that was conducted by YouGov Plc during 2014.
Naturally there’s a small catch, which is that you have to order the same day delivery before 12pm (excludes Weekends and Bank Holidays) and it’ll attract a one-off charge of £20.
