ISP Aquiss Discounts FTTP Broadband Packages for 3 Months

UK ISP Aquiss has today moved to try and attract some attention from new customers by advertising their entry-level superfast Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband packages from as little as £5 per month, although the catch is that this price only lasts for the first 3 months. Free activation (saving £100) is also included.

As usual new customers can expect to receive unlimited usage, a 12 month minimum contract term, enhanced care, a static IPv4 address and static IPv6 addresses (/56). Being FTTP there’s no need for telephone line rental, although unlike a fair few other providers Aquiss don’t include a wireless router in with their service (i.e. you have to use an existing one or buy a new router).

Otherwise the new discounts work out as follows.

Pure Fibre – Option 1 (36Mbps Down / 1.6Mbps Up)
PRICE: £5 a month for 3 months (£30 thereafter)

Pure Fibre – Option 2 (36Mbps Down / 7.5Mbps Up)
PRICE: £7 a month for 3 months (£32 thereafter)

Pure Fibre – Option 3 (72Mbps Down / 17Mbps Up)
PRICE: £9 a month for 3 months (£34 thereafter)

Pure Fibre – Option 4 (145Mbps Down / 26Mbps Up)
PRICE: £40 a month for 3 months (£56 thereafter)

Sorry but Pure Fibre are not available for Cuckoo Oak. You need to raise this with Openreach!

At present it only covers 2 million premises and it will be around 2025 before they can extend that to 15 million premises, which is actually pretty fast given the huge scale of civil engineering required. Obviously that still leaves half of the country to do but there’s no magic wand, FTTP takes time to build, so you’ll just have to wait like the rest of us.

Even after the offer period, it seems FTTP is now cheaper than ADSL2+ from Aquiss.

We don’t actually sell ADSL services anymore within the consumer space. Time to put the old girl out to pasture 🙂

@Martin, your website still offers ADSL to me when I put my number in the availability checker – it offers “Family Unlimited Premium”, as well as two business ADSL packages.
Of course, nothing else is available.
