Mobile operator Vodafone UK has announced that their Pay Monthly customers (i.e. those not already on an unlimited plan) the chance to enjoy 30 days of free unlimited mobile data (mobile broadband) via their 4G and 5G network this Christmas, but you’ll have to hurry as they’ve only made 200,000 passes available.
The operator claims that its quick and easy to apply for the new pass, which can be redeemed via VeryMe on the MyVodafone App. The last date to apply for this is 21st December 2020, although we suspect they’ll be long gone well before then.
Nick Jeffery, Vodafone UK CEO, said: “We want our customers to stay connected to friends and family without worrying about running out of data or spending too much this festive season. We pledged earlier this year to take whatever spare capacity we had and make it available for customers and those most in need across the UK. What better time to do this for our customers than Christmas.”

The new offer for customers joins Vodafone’s extended free data offer for NHS workers (running until 31st January), the VOXI for Now tariff (i.e. giving job seekers endless calls and data for £10 a month for 6 months) and its schools.connected programme (here).
UPDATE 11:58am
A number of Vodafone’s customers report that they haven’t been able to see the offer. We chased this up with the operator and were told that there have been a few issues with the launch, but it should be up and running by 12:30pm today.
Not showing for me as yet @ 09.56
We only just got the press release, so I guess it’s a case of watch and be ready (in my experience operators don’t always get everything ready before the PR goes out).
Thanks Mark, still no dice @ 11.54 LOL
Updated above.
How come pay as you go customers don’t get unlimited for 30 days either? it’s not fair I’ve been a pay as you go customer with Vodafone for 25 years and I don’t get anything like this. My child is on EE and gets unlimited data as a gift, I am considering moving over to EE as you can also put data on when you want to.
Got it Mark, thank you for the heads up, would not have known if it wasn’t for coming on here.
The job seekers offer is a joke, because it only applies if you are out of contract (according to 191 Vodafone agents). What’s the probability that you’re on benefits and out of contract? At the time of enquiring I’d had an active claim running with the DWP for several months, but they weren’t interested. This is definitely not a genuine offer, otherwise there wouldn’t be any conditions attached. Absolutely disgraceful, when a bit of help would have gone a long way, and so much for loyalty of 10 years or so !!
I’ve no idea what you’re referring to MrNick
I can’t see it either.
You won’t see it if my experience is anything to go by Vodafone couldn’lie in bed straight
Not available for me either, I am being offered 60GB for £17 tho … despite being on 100 for £20.
update: wooo i got it. ! thank you Mark , for the heads up.
Nice I can now download more for longer with tremendous speed of 4Mbit/s
Wow! What area? I moved to Vodafone after years of misery with Three and the slowest speeds I get are in an old listed building I work in with near 1meter thick walls where I get a stable 15-20Mbps and when I’m in some of the more urban areas, I’ve seen speeds of up to 112Mbps on 4G!
For me, it’s far superior to Three, but I guess it will all depend on the area.
PE196A. Actually today there must ba glitch as I’ve got 15Mbit/s. About a year ago in the same place I’ve had 60Mbit/s no matter what time of the day.
Its online now if anyone’s interested, though its not as unlimited as you’ve been led to believe.
(In the small print Vodafone say its actually limited to 25Gb.)
The small print says
“The unlimited data can be used in the UK only.”
“In our inclusive Europe zone destinations the unlimtied data will be capped at 25GB”
It’s not 25GB. Unless you happen to be roaming in Europe. It’s unlimited, in the UK.
Thanks for the heads up a just top-up today so is it going to b any good to me like are you going to let me just use the and let mine round over or ?
Why can’t Vodafone just give what they offer, its like me saying I will give you a tenner, then giving you a fiver, these companies should hold there heads in shame, lying is not a good look for anyone,,,,
Lying is the default position for these
Gits.
25gb is not exactly unlimited!
25GB is for roaming that’s what “our inclusive Europe zone destinations” means. If you’re roaming it’s 25GB, otherwise unlimited
Indeed, roaming data is always capped by the rules.
Is this offer for NHS customers only?
No
