Consumers looking to join UK ISP Virgin Media (VMO2) may like to know that the provider has started this week by refreshing their discounts for new customers, which among other things includes 6 months of half-price service on their standalone ultrafast broadband plans (i.e. on the 125Mbps to 500Mbps tiers).
As usual, new customers can expect to receive an included wireless router, an 18 or 24-month minimum contract term, unlimited usage, internet security / parental controls, free UK weekend calls (only on phone bundles) and free email. Customers will also need to pay a small one-off setup charge of £9.99 (£15 on their slow 50Mbps package) and can optionally add their new STREAM TV service (set-top-box) too for £35 one-off.
The operator has also refreshed some of the discounts on their broadband bundles with other services, although we won’t list all of those below as there are too many packages. Most of these offers will be available to take until the end of this month, although some will run into March 2023.

Naturally, all of this follows after the operator’s recent price hikes announcement, which will of course be a bit galling for existing customers. But the latter can always try a bit of haggling (Retentions – Tips for Cutting Your Broadband Bill), although your mileage may vary. Meanwhile, those on certain state benefits may also have the option of taking their cheaper Social Tariff – A Quick Guide to UK Social Tariffs – Getting Broadband for £15.
