Customers of EE‘s mobile and home broadband ISP packages may like to know that the UK network operator has now joined forces with NVIDIA to launch a new range of “great value cloud gaming offerings“, which include membership of the ‘GeForce NOW’ cloud gaming service (access to over 1,600 games).
Prices of the new bundles are said to start at just £22 per month, and EE are currently offering the following two 24-month plans. As these are cloud services, then all the games are stored remotely and customers remote-play them (i.e. no need to separately purchase the titles you want or for any massive downloads before you can play).
Sam Kemp, Director of Gaming at EE, said: “We are continually looking to join forces with the latest partners so we can offer our customers some of the best gaming experiences available. By partnering with NVIDIA, we’re able to not only provide customers with access to one of the best streaming platforms – but also offer them the hardware and data too, helping to make high level gaming even more accessible and affordable to customers across the UK.”

PC Gaming
Firstly, for those who want to PC game, EE’s new cloud gaming laptop bundle gives customers unlimited gaming and video data on their mobile, plus a 6-month Priority membership for NVIDIA GeForce NOW for just £23 a month, with a Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 360 laptop and a Razor Basilisk V3 gaming mouse for £10 upfront. Customers can experience PC gaming at 1080p and up to 60fps.
Gaming on the big screen
This bundle provides customers with unlimited gaming and video data on their mobile, plus a 6-month Ultimate membership for NVIDIA GeForce NOW — for £25 a month— with a 43” Samsung Smart TV with Gaming Hub and a Turtle Beach Recon Cloud controller for £10 upfront.
As part of an introductory offer, the smart TV gaming bundle is available until the end of July at just £22 a month, providing customers a saving of £72 over the 24 months. Now customers can get to enjoy epic gaming in more places than ever, with access to GeForce RTX 4080-class performance, up to 4K resolution and 120fps.
The catch with all this is that you’ll need a fairly decent broadband connection in order to get the most out of such a service. GeForce NOW requires at least 15Mbps for 720p at 60FPS and 25Mbps for 1080p at 60FPS, but that jumps to at least 35Mbps for up to 1920×1080 at 240fps or 45Mbps for streaming up to 3840×2160/3456×2160 at 120FPS (35Mbps for most iMacs and MacBooks). Latency times also need to be in the 40-80ms range.
The picture EE released alongside this article suggests that Mobile Broadband speeds up the side of a veritable mountain (since there’s no way that’s an FTTP connection!) should be viable. But we strongly suspect that won’t be the case in most such locations. Remote rural areas tend to suffer from some of the worst coverage and slowest mobile data speeds.
Hello Mark,
There is a requirement to purchase the games you want to play with GeForce Now, as is mentioned in the link you put in the article. You buy your games on the external stores (Steam, UPlay, Epic) and then can play them without having to install etc via Nvidia
