The UK Internet Service Providers Association (ISPA) has just kicked off their annual hunt for the best ISPs and internet companies ahead of their forthcoming 2024 awards event, which this time adds several new and refreshed categories (total of 17) to help reflect the trends and successes of the industry.
The winners of the previous 2023 awards event were unveiled back in November 2023 (here), which among other things saw several ISPs taking home more than one award across different categories (e.g. Hyperoptic, CommunityFibre and Brsk).
However, there have been a few big changes this year, such as via the introduction of the Best Rural Infrastructure and Best Urban Infrastructure categories, which are intended to represent the different deployments of fibre across the UK and will also replace the premises passed requirements of previous years.

In addition, the ISPA are hoping to commend organisations investing resources towards communities, people and the environment through the new Best Community Engagement, Best Sustainability and Best Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Awards.
Finally, business providers will be covered by the new Best SME ISP and Best Enterprise ISP awards, showcasing ISPs that offer quality business services to a range of customers. As ever, these and several other categories will undergo several “months of rigorous independent technical testing“, while a panel of 12 judges will also help to select some of the winners. The full list of categories now open for entry can be seen below.

Good luck with that. Ha ha ha !!!
Oh no, here we go again, another farcical awards ceremony!
Does anyone really take these seriously?
All about paying those fees to keep the organisations going. Look at Which? The “winners” have to pay a licencing fee to advertise the fact they’re “Which? recommended”.
Communist DIE and “sustainability” have now infiltrated award shams for telecoms. Will be interesting to find out which companies win these to avoid them entirely
Google’s Gemini AI is on full display to the uneducated peasant masses exactly how outrageously racist DEI really is. Even the guardian is reporting on it
Here’s a hilarious 6min video reporting on it https://youtu.be/54DQGQ1qo14?si=Zoo1nFrKkEhrcbSw
