Residents in the rural Hartlepool borough village of Dalton Piercy (County Durham), which is home to almost 300 people, can now access faster broadband speeds of up to 45Mbps after UK ISP Voneus deployed a new Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) network. Previously, some locals often struggled to get fixed line speeds of above 1Mbps.

CityFibre has today committed £32m to support the rollout of a new gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband ISP network across both the North Yorkshire (England) seaside town of Redcar and the large port town of Hartlepool in County Durham. The move should complement their existing Tees Valley build in Middlesbrough.

Broadband ISP YouFibre has today announced that the first customers have gone live on their new 10Gbps capable UK Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network in the towns of Stockton (Durham) and Stroud (Gloucestershire), which have been built with support from network partner Netomnia.

Alnwick-based UK rural broadband ISP Alncom and new Bristol-based ISP RunFibre have joined forces in order to extend the reach of their joint gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network, which was already available to remote parts of Northumberland and Durham, but is now growing into South Gloucestershire.
