UK ISP Hyperoptic, which specialises in building 1Gbps capable “full fibre” (FTTP/B) broadband networks for large residential (MDU) or office buildings, has today confirmed a new agreement that will see them connect a “large proportion” of homes for L&Q, which is the largest housing association in London.

The FTTH Council Europe has published their annual market forecast for the growth of “full fibre” (FTTP/B) broadband ISP networks, which finds that some countries are expected to see an “outstanding growth” in the number of homes passed in 2026 compared to 2019, such as Germany (+730%), the United Kingdom (+548%) and Italy (+218%).

A new study by WIK, which was commissioned by the FTTH Council Europe, has found that consumers are still being confused by the use (or abuse) of the term “fibre” in broadband ISP advertising, which can just as easily refer to slower hybrid connections (e.g. FTTC using copper and fibre lines) as it can a “full fibre” (FTTP) service.

UK ISP Hyperoptic, which specialises in building 1Gbps capable “full fibre” (FTTP/B) broadband networks to large residential (MDU) and office buildings, has today announced a new partnership with Metropolitan Thames Valley (MTV) to rollout their “hyperfast” service across a “large proportion of its housing portfolio.”

City focused full fibre (FTTP/B) ISP Hyperoptic, which currently covers over 400,000 UK premise and holds an aspiration to cover 5 million by the end of 2024 (here), has today dropped the price of their top gigabit (900Mbps+ average speed) plan to just £40 per month for the first 12 months (£60 thereafter)..

Gigabit broadband ISP Hyperoptic has today announced the introduction of a new “Hyperhub” router, the Nokia HA-140W-B, which promises a peak theoretical combined WiFi speed of 2.92Gbps but will only be available to new customers who take out one of their top 500Mbps of 1Gbps full fibre (FTTP/B) packages.

Gigabit broadband ISP Hyperoptic, which has an ambition to cover 2 million UK premises with FTTB / FTTP by the end of 2021 and then 5 million by the end of 2024 (mostly in urban areas), has strengthened its executive team by appointing industry veteran Peter Ryan to be their new MD of infrastructure.

A new report from global consultancy firm Arthur D. Little has revealed that 10 countries have now made “full fibre” (FTTP / FTTB) broadband ISP networks available to at least 95% of homes, although unsurprisingly the United Kingdom continues to be stuck at the back of the pack but we are showing rapid improvement.

Full fibre broadband ISP Hyperoptic has, for the fourth year in a row, made it into the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 for 2020, which is a league table of Britain’s top 100 private technology companies with the fastest-growing sales over the latest 3 years. Sadly no other internet service providers made this year’s ranking.

City focused full fibre (FTTP/B) broadband ISP Hyperoptic, which claims to cover well over 400,000 UK premises, will later this morning (after 10am) reduce some of their prices and also reintroduce a cheaper 30Mbps tier as their new entry-level option (this was previously replaced a year ago by their 50Mbps plan).

UK ISP Hyperoptic, which has deployed their 1Gbps capable “full fibre” (FTTP/B) broadband network across large apartment and office buildings in various cities, has launched a new migration service that makes it cheaper and easier for them to switch people who are still stuck in an existing contract with another ISP.

Broadband ISP Hyperoptic, which is busy deploying their “hyperfast” (1Gbps) full fibre (FTTP/B) network out across large apartment buildings in various UK cities, has hailed itself as outperforming industry rivals after they secured a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of +51 (only around 10% of UK brands get an NPS of 40 or more).

Broadband ISP Hyperoptic UK claims to have provided a “significant donation” to support the Birmingham Education Partnership, which among other things provides laptops to disadvantaged children in Birmingham (c.5,000 children in the city have been unable to access remote learning opportunities during lockdown).

Full fibre broadband ISP Hyperoptic UK has reached a new agreement with LinkLiving and their partner Link Housing, Scotland’s second-largest social housing landlord, which will see them deploy their “gigabit-capable” (FTTP/B) network to homes for young adults who have recently been homeless in the city of Edinburgh.

UK ISP Hyperoptic, which has already deployed their FTTP/B broadband network to well over 400,000 UK premises (mostly large apartment blocks), has today extended their option of a rolling 30 day contract term to include business packages for the first time (i.e. customers now get contract options of 30 days or 12 – 24 months).

New research from Point Topic has found that world fixed broadband subscribers grew by just 1.25% (13.9 million) in Q1 2020 to total 1.13 billion, but the main impact from COVID-19 won’t be understood until Q2 and Q3. Meanwhile almost every connection technology saw growth, except copper (ADSL etc.) lines that fell -10.3% year-on-year.
