UK ISP PlusNet has bolstered its e-mail security thanks to a new partnership deal with communications security and compliance specialist, Postini. It's hoped that the move will see customers experiencing a significant decrease in SPAM (junk e-mail) messages.
The free service upgrade will be launched to all PlusNet broadband customers in the New Year following a two-month trial period:
Our decision to team up with Postini is driven by our commitment to offer our customers the best possible broadband service, said Neil Laycock, PlusNet CEO. Postinis record with email security speaks for itself and we are proud to be associated with them.
This is the first of many partnerships for PlusNet with leading industry experts. We plan to lead the way in broadband expertise, and team up with partners who can add complimentary best-of-breed services for our customers, added Laycock.
Customers will also be able to white list or black list certain addresses manually and will have the option of message quarantines as an extra safeguard.
